The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance of mixed-use retail and entertainment spaces.  Oversees the safety programs, planning construction, develops scope of work, annual budget preparation, and coordination with third party vendors.  The position plans estimates on capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, labor materials and other related costs for submission of the annual budget.


Include, but not limited to:


  • Directs Department Managers regarding preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Coordinates with outside contractors for capital improvements, infrastructure projects and with vendors for routine preventative maintenance programs.
  • Coordinates repairs with City Hall Public Works in accordance with the Development Agreement; which includes all common areas, garages, and elevators.
  • Conducts walk through inspections of District and Venues.  Oversees ordering, and controlling all maintenance supplies and facilities equipment for budget monitoring.
  • Reviews weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspection reports for District and venues assigned.
  • Prepares and manages annual maintenance budget for multiple departments.  This includes District, Venues, Garages, and Landscaping Maintenance Departments.
  • Coordinates with vendors for submission of bids.
  • Oversees the scheduling and prioritizes weekly and daily work.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with multiple departments and company employees to support other department’s needs.
  • Keeps senior management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
  • Recommends salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, dismissals and year end reviews.
  • Ensures proper training of personnel assigned.
  • Occasional after hours work is required.

Supervisor Responsibility:
This position oversees managers of multiple departments and is responsible for training, leadership, performance management and hiring recommendations of the employees within those departments.


  • Must have a strong proven record of managing a variety of projects within a maintenance department.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in working and managing systems; such as fire suppression systems, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment, elevator systems and the working of building management systems.
  • Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • The ability to function professionally under pressure, while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
  • Proven competencies in software applications and programs, particularly Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and word processing and file management skills.
  • Must possess personal tact, discretion and good judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • College preferred and/or Vocational Technical Certifications.
  • Minimum 10 Years of experience in building maintenance.
  • Minimum of three years in a managerial position directing a multifunctional maintenance staff.



  • Carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing items weighing up to 100-300 pounds.
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility safely and efficiently.
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  • Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling other.
